According to reports, the actor was recently discharged from the hospital and is currently recovering at home. He is also preparing to return to work as soon as possible. According to a statement issued by actress Sudipta Chatterjee and the filmmaker-producer Agnidev Chatterjee Soon after the incident on July 8, Sharma was bitten by an insect while talking to local technicians in a nearby area with dense vegetation. As the bite did not appear serious at the time, he did not receive immediate medical attention and was flown to Kolkata on a scheduled flight. But soon after, he started experiencing severe pain in his right leg, ran a high fever and became increasingly restless, prompting him to be admitted to the city’s Manipal Hospital.
