Bollywood’s prolific star Sanjay Dutt recently sat down with Dr D Nageshwar Reddy of AIG Hospital, where he narrated what he learned in jail. The topic came up when the host and the guests talked about Sanjay Dutt’s fame ‘jadu ki jhappi’ And the value of sorry and thank you. Dr. Reddy points out that these two simple terms keep one grounded. In his speech, Sanjay Dutt also talked about the importance of forgiveness.Recalling his time in prison, he shared, “I learned that during my time in prison. I learned to forgive.”“A Havaldar (police officer) taught me this. He told me, ‘Learn to forgive others and you will grow more in life,'” the “Vastav” actor said.He explained how the police told him that he should practice forgiveness no matter who hurt him. The actor added that while it sounds like a noble idea, it’s easier said than done. “But it’s very difficult to do that,” he admits.“That’s the most important thing,” he concluded.
When Sanjay Dutt says jail time shattered his self-esteem
In another media interaction, Dutt spoke more about his experience in prison. “It shattered my self-esteem,” he told IANS, before adding, “My confinement days were a roller coaster ride. On the positive side, it taught me a lot and made me a better person.”

Sanjay Dutt wishes his father was alive to see him free
Sanjay Dutt was released from prison in 2016, a decade after the death of his father, Sunil Dutt. When he spoke about the same in an interaction with the aforementioned publication, he shared, “The day I was released after the final verdict, that was the happiest moment of my life. I miss my father (Sunil Dutt). I wish he was alive to see me free. He would have been the happiest man.”His message is that family is the greatest strength and one should never take it for granted.
