According to preliminary estimates by Sacnilk, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has earned Rs 22.9 crore on its second day in India as of the latest update. The film currently has 4,027 screenings nationwide. Going by these early figures, the film has so far collected Rs 43.29 crore (Net India) and Rs 50.97 Crore (Gross India). Final numbers for day two are expected to rise significantly with the addition of the evening and evening show series. On its opening day, the film grossed 410 million rupees at the box office in India and reached 782.7 million rupees at the global box office, making it one of Vijay’s strongest debuts.
Tamil Nadu remains biggest market for Vijay films
The film’s opening day performance was led by Tamil Nadu and contributed nearly Rs 24 crore to the domestic box office. Karnataka follows with Rs 1,125 crore, while Kerala has Rs 552 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana accounted for Rs 4 crore, while remaining markets contributed the rest. The net revenue of the Tamil version was Rs 3,650 crore, while the Telugu and Hindi versions had net revenue of Rs 275 crore and Rs 175 crore respectively. The huge response in Tamil Nadu and encouraging overseas box office has enabled “Jana Nayagan” to maintain its strong performance at the box office.
