Knight Riders Sports named the former Dutch all-rounder Ryan has Doeschat as its new Head of Cricket Strategy, bringing him back to the franchise where he enjoyed success as a player and coach.In his new role, ten Doeschate will oversee cricket strategy, player scouting, recruitment, squad planning and talent development across Knight Riders’ global teams. He will also serve as assistant coach for Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20 and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket.Knight Riders Sports CEO Venky Mysore welcomed the appointment, saying, “We are delighted to welcome Tendo back to the Knight Riders family. His deep understanding of our philosophy, combined with his experience across the franchise and international cricket, makes him ideally suited for this role. This is a unique opportunity to work with the coaching & analytics teams in all our global franchises to strengthen our scouting / player development systems, and to build a long-term cricket strategy.”Ten Doeschate first joined Kolkata Knight Riders as a player in 2011 and was part of the IPL winning teams in 2012 and 2014. He then returned as a coach in 2022 and played a key role in the third franchise IPL title triumph in 2024. His latest appointment marks another chapter in his long association with the Knight Riders family.
