Veteran actor Madhoo recently looked back at an emotional moment on the sets of Hum Hain Bemisaal and recalled how Sunil Shetty Abruptly left filming after receiving heartbreaking news Divya Bhatti‘s death. Madhu revealed that Sunil was close to Divya and immediately left for Mumbai after learning about her death.When asked if she had met Divya Bharti, Madhoo said they never had the chance to meet in person. However, she said their families knew each other well as Divya’s father and her own father were close friends and often met at the beach. she also recalled Hema Malini Divya made her directorial debut with Dil Aashna Hai.“So I knew she was part of my own home movie,” the ‘Roja’ actress told IANS in an interview. Recalling the incident on the sets of ‘Hum Hain Bemisaal’, Madhoo said, “I was shooting for a film called ‘Hum Hain Bemisaal’ in Shimla. Suniel Shetty and I were shooting when Divya passed away. Suniel knew her well while we were shooting, so he left the set and flew down.”On April 5, 1993, Divya Bharti fell to her death from the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment in Mumbai at the age of 19. Although the circumstances surrounding her death have fueled speculation for years, the case was officially ruled an accidental fall.“Hum Hain Bemisaal” was directed by Deepak Bahry and released on December 16, 1994.
