The romantic entertainer starring Atharvaa is all set to release on July 10 and the trailer has already created a huge response. While wishing the entire team success, Atlee also reflected on the personal regrets that have followed him since the release of his first blockbuster film, Raja Rani, making his speech one of the biggest highlights of the event.
Atlee opens up about his long-standing regrets
In his speech, Atlee admitted that he had always wanted to return to romance films but never got the chance after the first film. “Wherever I go, the first thing people talk about is Raja Rani. After that, because Tarapati VijayI had the opportunity to produce “Theri”, “Mersal” and “Bigil”. I’m grateful for that, but I’ve always had one regret: I couldn’t do another love story. The director revealed that this feeling was one of the reasons why he wanted to support Idhayam Murali. “I even told Akash that I wanted to make this film. Somehow that didn’t happen, but after watching the finished film, I loved it,” he added.

Atlee praised debutant director Aakash Baskaran, calling him a person very close to his heart. “Akash is like my own brother. I can never say no to him as he has helped me in many ways.
