She then turned the camera around to show how many more people were being detained by Mumbai police, saying: “Everyone is in the car without any explanation. Koi answered Nahihaikikotun. Mene toh kuch bola hi nahi. I was being pulled and pushed by four to five women, left, right and centre, just for standing on the road. “

Ayesha Khan questions lack of accountability

In another story, she posted a photo of police officers with the caption: “Detained for standing peacefully in the road. #AccountabilityWhere?”. Ayesha Khan resists and police push her into van

Another video showed several police officers pushing Ayesha into a van as she continued to resist. Sharing the same footage from a different angle in another story, Ayesha wrote: “Unfortunately, four female police officers pulled me in. But I asked the same question again, why? Did I make a sound? Did I even start a conversation? Why was I detained? For standing on the road? Not even in the group of five!”.

“We are so lost in the charm”

Earlier, Ayesha had appealed to popular paparazzi accounts and media pages to pay more attention to the ongoing BJP protests in Delhi. “…Unfortunately, I didn’t know that either. We get so lost in glamour, beauty and controversy that we often end up avoiding the things that really need our attention,” she said.
