After a gap of three years, the Tollywood actor Akhil Akkineni Making a strong comeback with “Lenin,” he opened up about his desire to make a sequel to the iconic film “Sishindri” in a recent podcast episode. Even though Aguirre was only eight to nine months old when the film was shot, he said the film still holds huge sentimental value for him and his family. The actor recalled that he was too young to understand filmmaking at the time. However, the film remains one of the defining memories of his childhood.Looking back on the journey, Akhil said “Sisindri” will always hold a special place in his heart because of the emotions and memories it carries.

During a chat on Raw Talks, Aguirre also revealed a personal dream that he hopes to achieve one day. The actor said he has discussed the idea with his wife Zainab.He said, “If I was lucky enough to have a son, I would love to make a sequel with him.” Even so, Aguirre expressed hope that one day life will give him the opportunity to relive Sisindli’s emotional journey through a sequel starring his own son.

Akhil also spoke about how “Sihindri” was shot when he was just a baby. He recalled that he was awake for only a few hours each day, and his entire shooting schedule was carefully planned around that short period of time when he was active and comfortable.The actor remembers how his parents helped filmmakers capture natural expressions on camera. After watching the first cut, he realized certain aspects weren’t going as expected and even discussed his concerns with those close to him.He said: “When I watched the first cut or saw the scene, didn’t I realize it wasn’t working? Of course I did. I had concerns. I knew something was wrong, definitely before it was released. I shared those concerns with people, even with some of our mutual friends. I told them it felt different.”
Why walking away is never an option
Despite recognizing the problems early on, Aguirre said he never considered quitting the project. He explains that filmmaking is a collective effort involving hundreds of people, and he believes it’s his responsibility to see it through to the end.
