The film, which has an estimated budget of Rs 4,000 crore and a marketing budget of $40 million, has already locked in a lucrative music rights deal.According to reports, the producers were initially targeting a landmark Rs 100-crore deal to acquire the global music rights of the film. Pinkvilla reports that the team is aiming to invest a record-breaking Rs 100 crore for the first installment of the series. If it comes to fruition, it would easily be the highest music rights valuation ever for a Hindi film.With music by Academy Award winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, the project has reportedly attracted significant interest from major music labels such as T-Series, Sony Music, Saregama and Universal Music. Now, according to Hindustan Times, after several rounds of negotiations, T-Series has finally secured the audio rights of the two films for an advance payment of Rs 75 crore.A close associate of T-Series reportedly confirmed the development and said, “T-Series has acquired the music rights of Ramayana. Bhushan Kumar and the senior leadership of T-Series are confident about the potential of the film’s soundtrack.” The associate further revealed, “As part of the arrangement, T-Series has paid an advance of Rs 75 crore for the music rights. This amount covers the music for both parts of Ramayana.Meanwhile, the makers have also announced a revised release date for the film’s trailer. After being postponed from its original release date of July 24, the film will premiere worldwide at 4:15 a.m. (US Standard Time) on July 30. The release of the trailer was also delayed after the film signed a global distribution deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment.Announcing the new date on social media, the team wrote: “On the auspicious occasion of Brahma Muhurat, we will be welcoming the dawn of Ramayana with the launch of the trailer on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 4:15 AM UTC.”Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. Sai Pallavi Playing Sita, Yash plays Ravana. The first part of this two-part epic is expected to release during Diwali 2026, with the sequel scheduled for release during Diwali 2027.
