Continuing its commitment to internationalization and global learning, AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT), Pune, sent a delegation of 19 students and faculty coordinator Dr. AISSMS. Varsha K. Patilto participated in the 10-day short-term international student and faculty exchange program at Happy Science University, scheduled from July 30 to August 8, 2026.The exchange program is designed to provide students with opportunities for international academic exposure, cross-cultural learning, experiential education, and interaction with Japanese students and faculty. Through classroom instruction, cultural immersion, institutional visits, and collaborative activities, participants will gain valuable global perspectives that will enrich their academic and personal development.This visit marks another important milestone in the growing academic partnership between AISSMS IOIT and Happy Science University. Earlier this year, a delegation from Happy Science University visited AISSMS IOIT and actively participated in Alacrity, the institute’s flagship annual cultural festival, laying a solid foundation for meaningful academic cooperation, cultural exchanges and people-to-people exchanges. The current program represents the reciprocal phase of this successful international partnership.Under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Pradeep B. Mane and with the encouragement and support of Honorary Secretary Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Directors International Partnerships Dr. Meenakshi A. Thalor and Dr. Varsha K. Patil coordinated a year-long collaborative initiative and exchange activities between the two institutions.Speaking about the initiative, the institute emphasized that international collaboration plays a vital role in preparing students to become globally competitive professionals by exposing them to different academic environments, cultures and innovative practices.This initiative reflects AISSMS IOIT’s unwavering commitment to promoting global partnerships and delivering transformative international learning experiences, further strengthening educational and cultural ties between India and Japan.
