Mumbai’s relentless monsoon has once again brought waterlogging to many parts of the city, even Amitabh BachchanJalsa’s iconic residence was also unaffected. A recent viral video showed rainwater entering the veteran actor’s bungalow after heavy rain. While Amitabh chose not to comment on the viral video, he acknowledged the harsh weather conditions in his latest Sunday blog and thanked his fans who continue to gather outside his home for weekly darshan.
Fans showed up despite heavy rain
As part of his regular interactions on Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan shared photos from outside Yalsa on his Tumblr blog and expressed gratitude to his admirers who braved the rain to meet him.“Waving, clasping hands… signing… they endured and stayed… I have as much respect as ever.” The actor admitted that he was moved by the fans’ unwavering dedication, no matter the weather.“No matter the weather – rain, shine, winter… they all come… and have the same enthusiasm… I’m deeply moved.”
Amitabha calls on everyone to pay attention to safety
Talking about the ongoing monsoon period in Mumbai, Amitabh noted that rainfall continues unabated, leading to flooding in some places while also replenishing water reservoirs. “The rainfall has not reduced…flooding continues…Yes, the monsoon has been delayed and now the water resources – the surrounding lakes are filling up…creating some hardship for residents…agriculture…but this too shall pass.”He concluded with a warning, encouraging everyone to prioritize their own safety during the ongoing downpours. “All goes well…safe…venture out only in absolute emergency…like in Mumbai…but also in general… You are all so precious. “
Water enters Jalsa compound in Mumbai floods
A video recently circulated online captured rainwater accumulating outside Jalsa and eventually flowing into the courtyard as the nearby drainage system struggled to cope with the heavy rainfall. The visuals quickly gained traction on social media, with many users pointing out that the incident highlighted the flooding issues Mumbai faces repeatedly every monsoon season.The city has seen widespread waterlogging, traffic disruptions and a slowdown in daily life as persistent rains have battered several communities over the past few days. Municipal authorities have been working to clear clogged drains and mitigate flooding, while forecasts suggest more rain is likely.
Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming projects
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan will be reprising his role in the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. The upcoming film will once again star Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles. While the first film also starred Deepika Padukone, reports suggest that she won’t be returning for the sequel.
