The eventual nod for the series will come from the Indian government, but the boards want to make sure that everything is ready when the approval comes.India refused to visit Bangladesh last year due to diplomatic tensions which was followed by Bangladesh losing their place in the T20 World Cup in India later. Mustafizur Rahman he was kicked out of the IPL in January.TOI understands that the BCB has kept all its seats vacant since September 1, as it offers a few combinations for BCCI to choose for convenience. If the series against Afghanistan is postponed, it could open a two-week window in September.“BCB is also fine with the idea of holding all the matches at one venue. The two boards discussed it on the sidelines of the recent ICC meeting in London. approval,” a BCCI source told TOI.The BCCI had informed the selectors about the Afghanistan series, but an official announcement of Afghanistan hosting India in Delhi was delayed for this reason. It is now known that the preparations for that series have been postponed.
