Tamil romantic drama ‘Chennai Love Story’ continues to run in theatres. After a strong start, the film’s box office fell again on its opening Tuesday, setting its lowest daily box office record to date. Even with the slowdown in workdays, the film has maintained a steady run on the big screen.
‘Chennai Love Story’ day five numbers
According to Sacnilk, the film’s net box office collection in India on its fifth day of release was estimated at Rs 280 crore, down 15.2% from Monday’s net take of Rs 330 crore. The film played in 1,801 screenings on Tuesday. According to the latest financial report, its total net income in India has reached 23.3 billion rupees, while total revenue in India was 267.3 billion rupees.In overseas markets, the film’s box office collection increased by Rs 50 lakh on its fifth day of release, taking its international total to Rs 60 million. As a result, the film’s global box office collection climbed to Rs 32.73 crore.
Telugu version collection
The overall occupancy rate for the Telugu version was 38.20% on Tuesday. The night show had the strongest response, with an attendance rate of 44.85%, followed by the afternoon show, with an attendance rate of 38.92%. The attendance rate for the morning game was 17.62% and the attendance rate for the evening game was 30.31%.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the largest contributors on Day 5 with a total revenue of Rs 275 crore. Karnataka contributed Rs 35 lakh and Tamil Nadu Rs 3 lakh. The rest of India’s box office collection increased by Rs 6 lakh, taking the film’s fourth-day collection in India to Rs 3.19 crore.
