Born in Park Ridge, Illinois, Chuck Russell began his incredible film career by writing screenplays and working as a production manager and assistant director on independent films. He worked with Frank Darabont during his tenure as executive producer of Hell of a Night. Additionally, he wrote the screenplay for Joseph Reuben’s film “Dreamland.” However, Chuck Russell’s directorial debut, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, was stunning and soared at the box office. “The Spot,” “The Mask,” “The Eraser” and “The Scorpion King” continue that tradition.
