CSIR-UGC NET 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the pre-examination city notification slip for candidates appearing for the CSIR-UGC NET joint exam in June 2026. The city information sheet is available on the official website of CSIR-UGC NET and can be accessed using the application number and password.The CSIR-UGC NET Joint Examination in June 2026 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor and award of PhD degree, and eligibility for PhD degree only in Indian universities and colleges. The agency has clarified that the examination city list is issued only to inform candidates of the city where their examination center is located.Exam time announcedAccording to the official notification, the life science professional examination will start from 9 am to 12 noon on July 17, 2026. Mathematical Science will be held on the day from 3 to 6 pm, followed by Physical Science in the second shift.On July 18, 2026, Chemical Sciences and Earth, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Sciences will be held in the morning class from 9 am to 12 noon. The examination will be conducted as per the schedule announced by NTA. The city card is not an admission cardThe NTA said the advance city call slip should not be considered as an admission ticket for the exam. The purpose of issuing this document is only to inform candidates of the designated test city so that they can make travel and other necessary arrangements before the test.The admission ticket for the CSIR-UGC NET joint examination in June 2026 will be issued separately.
