“Black Panther 3” has been officially confirmed! The MCU’s upcoming superhero movie, originally produced by the late Chadwick Boseman The main character, King T’Challa, is now expected to take a completely new direction in the third installment. During San Diego Comic-Con, the production studio announced several new and upcoming projects planned for the cinematic universe.

While these projects have been at the forefront of discussions, no new updates have been announced yet. According to Deadline , during Panel H at Comic-Con, Ryan CooglerHaving directed the first two films, he has confirmed that he will be returning for the upcoming film. Not only that, “The Long Walk” actor David Jonson was also announced as the new Black Panther. T’Challa’s son made his first appearance at the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.Rather than recasting the role, Marvel confirmed that Jonsson will take over the mantle of Black Panther. However, he will be playing T’Challa’s son in the upcoming film. The official release date is also set for December 15, 2028. It has been revealed that the upcoming third installment will be shot entirely on larger format celluloid. Leticia Wright and Winston Duke will also star in the 2028 film as Shuri and M’Baku, respectively.Back in 2023, Wright spoke to Variety about working on Black Panther 3 and her feelings about the new film already being produced. She commented at the time, “You know, we just launched it and everyone came together to support it, and it’s been a great two years. We need a break, we need to regroup, Ryan needs to get back in the lab, so it’s going to take a while, but we’re really excited for you guys to see this.”“

The “Black Panther” series was released in 2018, starring Chadwick Boseman as the King of Wakanda. Along with Boseman and Wright, the film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Michael B.
