The premise and inspiration for the film
Obsession tells the story of Bell, a lonely college student played by Michael Johnston, who uses a mysterious toy to wish that his friend Nicky will fall in love with him. Inspired by specific episodes of the animated series’ horror-themed segments, Bell’s adventures in the dark arts lead to catastrophic, unpredictable consequences, pushing the narrative toward a twisting ending.
