A coming-of-age romance film with emotional themes
“Idhayam Murali” tells the story of a young man going through the emotional highs and lows of unrequited love.ETimes reviewed the film, saying: “The actors do most of the heavy lifting and their presence gives us at least some excitement. Fahad Faasil Breathing life into the ordinary supporting cast, it gets a whistle-worthy moment in the climax. YouTuber Sudhakar delivers some welcome comedy moments, especially in the last part. Tamang’s background score works overtime to keep us from thinking about the film’s shortcomings. That said, there’s always some little excitement every few minutes – mostly in the form of some sort of reference – to keep us from getting bored. The film could have been shorter and sharper, but for the most part it succeeds in being entertaining for the leisurely viewer. The little twists it puts on familiar beats provide just enough freshness to make it work, especially as an enjoyable diversion. “Disclaimer: The box office numbers and data in this article are obtained from public and industry sources.
