The gold slides in clean and crisp
Rishikanta opened the clean and jerk with a successful 143 kg lift, but was unable to improve on his total after failing to clear 151 kg in his last attempt. I finished the competition with a combined total of 264 kg (121 kg in snatch and 143 kg in clean and jerk), which proved enough for the silver medal.The miss leaves Malaysia’s Aniq Kasdan in the lead with a total of 266 kg (121 + 145), while Rishikanta remains second on 264 kg (121 + 143). Kenya’s Mboya came in third with 260 kg (115 + 145).
