Maruti Suzuki has updated the Brezza with refreshed styling, new technology and an extensive range of accessories, while retaining the four-model lineup. The compact SUV continues to be offered in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ trims. Buyers can also choose from petrol, turbo-petrol, automatic and CNG powertrain options depending on the variant. Here’s a closer look at what each brand has to offer.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Smart updates

The entry-level LXi focuses on the essentials while covering the basics on the safety front. It comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS, Hill Hold Assist and ISOFIX anchorages for child seats. Maruti has also offered triple seat belts for all passengers, manual air conditioning, adjustable steering wheel, electric front windows and a two-tone cabin. On the outside, it gets halogen headlamps with LED DRLs and alloy wheels with full coatings, making it a more affordable option for the Brezza.The move to VXi brings a noticeable jump in hardware. This features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise controls, a four-speaker audio system with tweeters, rear AC vents and a center console. It also has electric rear windows, adjustable mirrors and exterior lights, climate control, keyless entry and push button start, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, adjustable driver’s seat and alloy wheels.The turbo petrol VXi also adds features such as rear wiper, headlamps, parking camera, front parking sensors and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.The ZXi model comes equipped with Blind Spot Monitor, Safe Exit Warning, 360-degree HD camera, front parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), head-up display, wireless phone recorder and cruise control. It also has LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, a rearview mirror and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.At the top of the range is the ZXi+, which is the heaviest Brezza on sale. It comes with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ARKAMYS audio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa voice assistant and cruise control. It also has features like Blind Spot Monitor, Safe Exit Warning, 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, TPMS, wireless charger and automatic folding ORVMs.Some of the key features of this model include smart keys with motion lock, rear USB charging ports, leather-wrapped steering wheel, four-tone cabin head, rear spoiler, machined alloy wheels, LED projector lamps and well-wrapped body panels, making it an all-terrain SUV.

Engine and gearbox options

Maruti Suzuki is offering the updated Brezza with several power options in the lineup. The LXi is available with a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with a 6-speed manual, 1.5-litre K15C petrol-CNG option with a 6-speed manual.The VXi packs a 1.5-liter K15C engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The ZXi continues with petrol and CNG powertrains, while the range-topping ZXi+ is available with a turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre petrol automatic, giving buyers a choice between performance and convenience.
