Nicholas Galitzin‘s Masters of the Universe is officially ready for OTT release! The film, a direct live-action adaptation of the toy franchise, will be released online soon. If you’ve missed the magic of the much-loved character on the big screen, it will soon be available to watch on OTT from the comfort of your own home.

It has been confirmed that the film will be released on the OTT platform for everyone to watch. The film will be specially launched on Prime Video on July 22 this month. The film was previously released in theaters worldwide on June 5. An official release announcement has been posted online, with information also posted on the film’s official Instagram page. They shared a video of the film and wrote in the caption: “Listen! Watch Masters of the Universe – July 22nd on Prime Video”.

Based on the popular He-Man toy series, Nicholas Galitzine stars as He-Man, a young boy who has just discovered his superpowers. Once he accepts his fate, he must do whatever it takes to save the kingdom of the royal planet and all other realms. The official plot synopsis reads: “A young man on Earth discovers a mythical secret legacy as an alien prince who must recover a magical sword and return home to protect his kingdom.” In addition to Galitzin, Jared Leto also stars in the film as one of the main villains, the infamous Skeletor, who is hell-bent on taking over all realms.Other cast members include Morena Baccarin, who plays a witch. Alison Brie stars as Evil Lynn, James Beaufoy stars as King Landor, Idris Elba stars as Gunslinger, and Charlotte Riley stars as Queen Marlena. The series returned to the big screen after nearly 39 years, with the last film starring Dolph Lundgren released in 1987. According to Box Office Mojo, the film grossed $114 million at the box office, while the total production cost was $170 million to $200 million.
