In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Mona Singh reflects on her journey to get here and believes in staying patient and waiting for meaningful opportunities instead of taking projects just to stay visible. Looking back on her career, Mona said she never let setbacks shake her belief in herself, adding that perseverance was at the core of her journey.Singer said, “Never in my life did I think this wouldn’t happen. Nothing is impossible. If I had given up, honestly, I wouldn’t be standing in front of you today. I just kept going, stayed consistent, and I kept waiting, not for the next script, but for the right script. I think that’s why all of my versions look so different. They look like a curated collection, not a bunch of random work… No, I did the right job.”

The “Bollywood Bad” actress also shared the parameters that guide her in choosing scripts, revealing that she actively looks for roles that challenge her both as an actor and as a woman.Explaining her thought process, Mona said: “As an actor, as a woman, this is something I’ve never done before. I wanted to be able to take on challenges I’d never done before. I didn’t want women to be used solely as moral compasses… Or just be a relatable girl next door…or just be a good mother. Is she leading the script? Is she driving the narrative? Does the script celebrate her ambition and resilience? This is what I’m looking for.“
