While attending the 2026 Teen Fashion Festival at Duggal Greenhouse in Brooklyn, New York, the two stars opened up about what it was like joining the cast of Practical Magic 2. In an interview with People magazine, they said the experience was daunting at first because they knew they had a lot to do.King shared how nerve-wracking it was, adding, “As fans of the original film, we feel like when you love something as much as we love ‘Practical Magic,’ there’s a huge responsibility that comes with joining this team and wanting to do it justice.” Williams, on the other hand, talked about how great her on-screen mother Sandra Bullock was. She mentioned, “It’s amazing. She’s so sweet. The best woman in Hollywood,” while further sharing that the actress had reached out to both of them via text message, writing, “‘Hi, this is your mom.'”‘”Kim further added that it was an honor to work with both actresses. “They’re the best pairings ever. Nicole and I worked together a few years ago. She played my mom in a movie and we became really close from there, which is crazy. I’m a fan of hers. I’m so in awe of her. She’s the best person ever.”The two actresses also revealed that both Bullock and Kidman became close friends with them and the atmosphere on set. Kim concluded: “Sandy just took us under her wing like we were her daughters. The connection we made with her after the movie was really special. She sent us voicemails all the time. She never failed to make us excited. She was the sweetest. They were the best.”Internationally, “Practical Magic 2” is scheduled to be released on September 9, 2026, and will be released in North America on September 11.
