Anupam Kher confirmed to voice Jatayu
According to a post on Instagram by Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, Kher has dubbed for the character of Jatayu in the film. “Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been confirmed as the voice of Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The news ends months of speculation that Amitabh Bachchan would voice the legendary bird who fought with Ravana while saving Sita. Anupam Kher Vs Ravana ‘s battle is expected to be one of the most emotionally intense sequences in the film. Director Nitesh Tiwari reportedly highlighted the scene as an important cinematic moment and Anupam Kher’s voice will bring the revered character to life on screen,” the post read.

Anupam Kher’s film to release this Diwali
In the film, Sunny Deol plays Hanuman and the music is composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The first part of Ramayana will be released on Diwali 2026 and the second part is expected to be released on Diwali 2027.
