Philip Grenz, who has represented Sam Neill for many years, confirmed in a news report that the beloved Hollywood icon has left his paradise after suffering complications from pneumonia. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Grenz said the actor always wanted privacy, which is why his family will hold a quiet memorial service for him soon.He added, “As Sam was a very private man who hated fuss, his family will hold a private family memorial service for him at his farm in New Zealand at a date yet to be determined. I would like to thank those truly close to Sam who have considered his privacy and given him the respect he has earned and the respect his loved ones need and deserve during this extremely difficult time.”Grenz also added in the statement that if fans and netizens alike wish to show respect for the actor, they should donate to one of the many causes Neil believes in. The Peaky Blinders actor is known for his philanthropy and being a great environmentalist. He owns his own farm and often speaks actively about protecting the environment. This could include any New Zealand charity or fund that supports the sustainable development, protection and conservation of New Zealand’s wildlife, native bush and land, such as the New Zealand Nature Trust and Sustainable Terraces, the statement added.“
Four Sam Neill projects to be released posthumously
In the same report, his rep also confirmed that Neal has been involved in approximately four projects that have yet to be released. The projects “will be released in the coming months,” he continued. Two of those confirmed projects include the romantic comedy “The Last Resort,” and his appearance in the sci-fi thriller “Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.” As of this writing, details of the other two projects have not yet been shared online.

According to a report shared online by the Cleveland Clinic, pneumonia is an “inflammation and buildup of fluid in the lungs caused by a bacterial, viral, or fungal infection.
