The Walking Dead: Dead City released a new season immediately following a panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. After a mind-bending cliffhanger, the new chapter attempts to see the transformation of post-apocalyptic Manhattan, as well as Maggie and Dean’s arcs from enemies to allies. Additionally, one of the most exciting cast members was announced during an appearance at the prestigious festival.

The official synopsis for Season 3 reads: “Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build Manhattan’s first thriving community since the apocalypse. When chaos begins to appear in the city, they are forced to question: have they learned from old wounds, or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?”The episodes are planned for release in the United States; no global release has been mentioned. As per the timeline, the first episode was released on July 26, 2026 on AMC and AMC+. The finale will air weekly for eight episodes and will end on September 13, 2026. The Walking Dead: City of the Dead Season 3: Emily Kinney’s appearance
Emily Kinney is all set to appear in the Season 3 episode “Into the Spider-Verse.” Her character, who died after being shot in the head in the original series, will make a poignant return alongside her on-screen sister Lauren Cohan. Other cast members on the series include Logan King, Jimmi Simpson, Raul Castillo, Amy Garcia and Michael Emery.
