Volkswagen India today launched the all-new Volkswagen Tayron Life SUV in the Indian market, priced at Rs 41.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Tyron Life sits below the more expensive R-Line and is priced Rs 5 lakh lower, making it an affordable option. The VW Tyron Life will be manufactured locally at the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar car plant in Maharashtra. The SUV competes with the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. Interested customers can book the SUV online or visit the nearest VW dealership; Shipments are expected to begin soon.
The Tyron Life has a toned-down exterior compared to the R-Line. Since it does not receive a sports styling package, the main components such as the front grille, the wheel pillar cladding and the rear bumper trim are finished differently, without the gloss black product offered on the top-special version. The front fascia also gets a redesigned look. It includes L-shaped inserts and a piece of silver under the grille, which gives the SUV a clean look. Despite this change, the main features of the analysis will not change. The Life trim continues with small Matrix LED headlights, an illuminated Volkswagen logo in the center and a small LED club connected to the headlights.In terms of dimensions, the Tyron measures 4,792 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,789 mm. The side profile is very similar to the R-Line, although the alloy wheel design is different. The Life Variant rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, which are one inch smaller than those fitted to the model. The SUV continues to feature a clean side profile with a pronounced shoulder line stretching from the rear doors to the tailgate. A silver strip highlights the window section before extending to the rear glass, while a chrome strip adds to the side profile.The changes in the background are limited. The bumper adopts a simpler design, but the rest of the styling remains unchanged. The Life trim continues with LED headlights with detailed lighting, full LED headlights, an illuminated Volkswagen badge and a roof-mounted spoiler.Moving inside, the Tyron Life also retains the same cabin design as the R-Line. The most notable difference is the absence of R-Line badging and the removal of the third row of seats, making it a five seater. The aspect ratio remains the same even though it is under color. The SUV continues to offer a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, front seats with ventilation and massage, wireless phone pads, 360-degree camera, nine airbags and Level 2 Sistance System Driver (ADAr Assistance System Advanced). The Tyron Life comes equipped with an eight-speaker audio system, while the R-Line features 11 Harman Kardon premium audio speakers.Talking about the powertrain, it gets the same EA888 2.0, 4-cylinder Turbo petrol engine that produces 204hp and 320Nm. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels.
