MCC NEET UG 2026: The Medical Consultative Council (MCC) is yet to release the official schedule for NEET UG 2026 counseling. Following the declaration of Re-NEET UG 2026 results on July 16, 2026, the notification is expected to be released on the MCC official portal in the last week of July or early August.The consultation process will determine admissions to undergraduate medical courses in participating government, private and recognized medical colleges. Currently, the total enrollment in 823 medical colleges across the country is 1,36,939 seats (excluding institutions of national importance). Of these, 63,296 seats are in government institutions and 73,643 seats are in private and deemed universities. This cycle also includes 25 newly approved medical schools.Karnataka has the highest overall MBBS capacity with 15,395 seats and also has leading private healthcare infrastructure with 10,995 seats. Maharashtra has the highest number of government seats with 6,000 seats.Examination and Qualification DataThe number of applicants for this exam is 22,79,155, and approximately 19,99,000 candidates will participate in the re-examination. A total of 11,21,170 candidates qualified and the national passing rate was 56.08. The highest score, 715 out of 720 points, was achieved jointly by AIR 1 Aryan Gupta of Punjab and AIR 2 Panshul Bansal of Haryana.
