Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, has released a notification for the recruitment of 312 Assistant Nurse posts as per Advertisement No. 12/2026. These vacancies are located in Himachal Pradesh Department of Medical Education and Research and will be filled on a five-year participation basis.The notification was issued on July 23, 2026, and the online application process will begin at 10 am on July 30, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their Online Recruitment Application (ORA) through the official portal before 11:59 pm on August 29, 2026.Eligibility and vacancy detailsRecruitment is open to female candidates only. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. A Nursing Degree with at least 50% marks or a GNM/A Level Nursing Diploma with at least 50% marks.Candidates must also register with Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC) (Shimla-06). The notification states that applicants must be Himachali Bonafide candidates. They must also pass Class 10 and Class 12 examinations from institutions located in Himachal Pradesh, but this educational condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.The prescribed age limit is 21 to 45 years old, with January 1, 2026 as the cut-off date for age calculation. The age relaxation will be done as per government regulations.Application Fee and Selection ProcessCandidates in all categories including General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, BPL, WFF and PwBD are required to pay an application fee of Rs 800. Correction fee of Rs 100 will be charged for modification of the submitted application form during the correction window, which will open four days after the application closing date.The selection process consists of Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR based written screening test followed by document verification, preparation of final transcript and health status verification.Examination pattern and application processThe screening exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions for a total score of 120 points and will last over 90 minutes. The paper will include questions from Nursing subject, General Knowledge, Himachal Pradesh General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Daily Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English and General Hindi.Candidates must secure at least 45% marks in the general category and at least 40% marks in the SC, ST, OBC and WFF categories to qualify.Applicants can register through the HPRCA portal, complete the one-time registration process, fill in the online application form, select their preferred examination zone and submit the application fee before the deadline. Selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs 25,000 per month.
