Years after Sridevi’s death, Jaya Prada reflected on their relationship, revealing that despite working together for years, they almost never spoke to each other.While appearing on Indian Idol 12 in 2021, Jaya Prada admitted that while she considered herself lucky to share screen space with Sridevi, the two remained rivals throughout their careers and never developed a personal friendship.“Even when we played perfect sisters on screen, we never made eye contact. Whether it was costumes or dance, we competed with each other. Every time we met, the director or actor would introduce us on the set and we would just say hello to each other and move on.”The two actresses first established themselves in the South film industry and then became leading stars in Bollywood.
