Toyota Hilux facelift teased: Design, interior changes expected

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released the first teaser of the Hilux facelift which is coming to India for the first time on July 28, 2026. Although the short teaser does not reveal the pickup truck in full, it does give a glimpse of the revised front fascia.The teaser shows the new Hilux with a large front grille paired with low-profile LED headlights. Removing the Toyota logo and ‘TOYOTA’ lettering on the grille. The new model is also expected to get a redesigned front bumper with a skid plate, a new alloy wheel design and revised tail lamps with C-shaped reflectors.Inside, the cabin could receive a major upgrade in terms of technology and quality. The new Hilux is expected to feature two 12.3-inch screens, including a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Other expected additions include a new three-spoke steering wheel, black interior headliner, ventilated and power front seats, wireless phone charging, connected car technology and a 360-degree camera. Toyota is also expected to retain the standard climate control and exterior functions.Under the hood, the pickup is expected to continue with a 2.8-liter diesel engine that produces around 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Transmission options can include a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed manual gearbox. Safety is expected to be supported by a comprehensive ADAS package that may include features such as cruise control, lane departure warning and emergency braking. Standard safety equipment is also expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control and a hill assist system.
