Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, shared a video of the actor and 4 to 5 others praying at a mosque on his social media account. He wrote in the caption that the famous actor embraced the Islamic faith after filming the movie “Seven Dogs” in the country.The caption on the video read: “Seven Dogs and Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito expressed satisfaction with his interactions with Muslims during filming in Saudi Arabia and recited the Shahada (statement of faith) and prayed with the cast and crew at a mosque yesterday. Video shows him with employees of the Sierra company yesterday. Praise God. “The Shahada is the Islamic declaration of faith.The video attracted a lot of attention online and went viral.
