Bengaluru, children fall from moving school bus after back door opens – Video
According to reports, five school children were thrown out of a moving private school van when its rear door opened near Gayathri Layout in KR Pura in Bengaluru on Friday morning. Three children were injured in the incident. The children were sitting in the back of the van when the back door suddenly opened, causing them to fall onto the road. Fortunately, there were no vehicles coming from behind, and a potentially more serious accident was avoided.Subsequently, the traffic police impounded the van. It is initially suspected that the front and rear doors of the vehicle were not locked before departure. The specific circumstances behind the incident are under investigation.Earlier this year, an overloaded auto-rickshaw carrying more than 10 schoolchildren overturned on Hamu Road in Jharkhand. However, no children were seriously injured.People on social media pointed out the common practice of carrying more children than allowed capacity and questioned whether enough checks were being carried out on school transport.“In India, a school bus carrying 10 children will carry 20 children, endangering their lives. I have not seen such a school bus stopped by the police,” someone wrote on X.
