“Aananthan Kadu”, starring Arya in the lead, witnessed a healthy jump at the box office on its second day of release. The political action thriller, directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar and written by Murali Gopy, started its first weekend with positive momentum after its ratings improved after its opening day.According to Saknielke, the film earned a net revenue of Rs 9.9 million on its second day of release in India. The latest figure represents a 52.3 per cent increase from the Rs 65 lakh earned on the day of premiere.
Net income in India exceeds Rs 15 Crore
With its second day profit, ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ has now netted Rs 164 crore across India. The film’s box office collection in India has climbed to Rs 1.87 crore.The film screened 1,637 times on Friday and 1,355 times on its opening day. Although overall occupancy fell slightly, from 14% on day one to 13.6% on day two, the wider launch helped support the series’ growth. The first two days herald a smooth start for the political action drama.The Malayalam version remains the largest contributor to the film’s overall viewership. On the second day, it earned a net revenue of Rs 72 lakh from 955 shows. The Tamil version netted Rs 27 lakh from 682 performances.In the Malayalam version, the overall occupancy rate was 13.26%. The ratings for the morning show were 6.42% and the ratings for the afternoon show were 7.92%. The evening occupancy rate reached 10.92%, while the night show had the highest turnout at 20.42%.The overall occupancy rate of the Tamil version was higher at 15.18%. The morning ratings were 12.80%, the afternoon ratings were 15.70%, the evening ratings were 14.90%, and the evening ratings were 16.70%.
