The review adds, “In the second half, the story transitions into a quiet court battle. It subtly points out that officials often rely too much on basic data and testing and ignore the real, raw talent found at the local level. While the film offers a thoughtful look at issues in sports management, the film explains these issues primarily through spoken dialogue rather than showing them naturally within the story. Still, it’s a touching film about one player’s quiet fight against an indifferent system for a fair chance. A decent one. “
