One of the notable incidents happened on the sets of ‘Joshila’ where Bindu was completely caught off guard when she arrived and without any prior warning, she was handed a bikini to wear on the set. “I stopped shooting for two hours because I wasn’t ready to wear a proper bikini. A bikini is a bikini. I told Yashji, ‘Please… you never told me this before.’ I only found out about it when I got to the set.”

The actress revealed that she immediately summoned the costume designer to the set, while the rest of the cast and crew had no choice but to wait. Yash Chopra himself eventually stepped in to find a middle ground and put everyone at ease. “Then Yashji said, ‘Stay in the water as much as possible. Let’s shoot like this, just side and back shots.’ Poor Dev Anand Ji just sat there quietly and didn’t say anything. Filming was suspended for nearly two hours. But after spending the entire morning shooting romantic scenes with Bindu, Sanjeev Kumar found it difficult to make the switch. “I put on a simple white sari and no makeup. In the scene, he had to call Ashok Kumar ‘Babuji’ and me ‘Maa.'” He came in, laughed, and walked away because the word “Maa” just didn’t come out.“director Hrishikesh Mukherjee Noticed something was wrong and asked Sanjeev Kumar what was wrong.
