However, during one of her latest performances, the singer shamelessly changed some lyrics from one of her exes, who was in the VIP pit cheering on the “Hate Me Make You Love Me” singer.

While performing in Austin, Texas, the singer took the stage to perform her hit song, however, she ended up making some changes to the lyrics to pay tribute to one of her former backup dancers, Ricky Alvarez, whom she dated from April 2015 to July 2016. Her 2018 song’s original lyrics were “Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen to them and laugh.”However, during her performance that night on the “Eternal Sunshine” tour, which took place at the Moody Center, the singer changed the lyrics to “Write some songs about Ricky/I know he still has my back.” Video from the concert shows Alvarez dancing and swaying to the singer’s music while attending the concert in the VIP pit area, and enjoying the cheers afterwards.This isn’t the first time she’s modified the lyrics herself.
