Due to heat warning issued in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida school adjusts timetable for classes 1 to 8
Due to the persistent high temperatures in Noida and Greater Noida, the class timings for students of classes 1 to 8 in the district have been adjusted. Gautam Buddh Nagar district basic education officer has directed all schools to remain open from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon with effect from June 29, 2026 until further orders.The revised timetable is applicable to government, government-aided, recognized, CBSE, ICSE, Madrasa and all other board-affiliated schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar district. School authorities have been directed to implement the revised timings without exception and continue to follow the order until fresh instructions are issued.The modified time is still validAccording to district administration, the change is an effort to reduce students’ exposure to daytime heat. The revised timetable limits classes to mornings, when temperatures are relatively cooler as hot weather persists in the region.

The district basic education officer has directed all educational institutions covered by the order to ensure full compliance. Hot and humid weather persisted in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan over the past few days.The persistent high temperatures have led authorities in several regions to take precautionary measures aimed at protecting children and other vulnerable groups from prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions.Advice to Students and ResidentsOfficials advise people to avoid direct exposure to the sun during the afternoon peak hours and to stay well hydrated while following heat-related advice issued by authorities.The India Meteorological Department said conditions are now becoming conducive for further advancement of southwest monsoon over northern India. The expected progress of the monsoon is likely to provide relief from the current hot weather in the coming days.The modified school schedule will continue until district administration reviews weather conditions and issues new guidance regarding regular school hours.
