NEET UG 2026 re-examination: Provisional answer key challenge process begins; here’s how to apply
NEET UG 2026 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a temporary answer key challenge window for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, allowing candidates to raise objections to the answers they feel require review. The facility can be accessed through the official NEET portal and will remain open till June 28 at 11:50 pm.The answers are related to the NEET-UG 2026 reexamination conducted on June 21. Candidates who want to dispute any of their answers can do so by submitting documentary evidence from NCERT books or other recognized standard textbooks. The agency also said challenges accepted after expert review will be eligible for refund of prescribed processing fees.Challenge process and feesTo submit the challenge, candidates have to log into the NEET official website and enter the question paper series code printed on the cover of the question paper. They can then select the issue or issues they want to dispute, upload supporting documentation and complete payment before submitting their request.The challenge fee is fixed at Rs 200 per question. As per NTA regulations, the amount will be refunded only if the challenge is accepted after review by subject experts. The agency advises candidates to carefully verify every detail before making payment as submissions can be submitted only once and cannot be modified later.The review is conducted concurrently with the OMR assessmentThe NTA said expert review of key challenges will be conducted simultaneously with the scanning of OMR answer sheets.
