ENG vs NZ, Third Test Live Score: Nathan Smith, Foulkes lead New Zealand bowling effort
New Zealand’s bowling attack shared the workload effectively as England’s innings unraveled on Day 3. Nathan Smith was the standout performer, finishing with figures of 4/91 after producing crucial breakthroughs in the innings. Will O’Rourke and Zac Foulkes also played a big part claiming three wickets each. Foulkes, who came into the match as a concussion replacement for Blair Tickner on Friday, made an immediate impact with the wicket of Ben Stokes before sending back Harry Brook for 58 by clipping his off stump. O’Rourke removed Jacob Bethell after the left-hander had pared for a bigger point. Their combined effort ensured that England could not erase New Zealand’s first innings lead. Instead, the visitors secured an 84-run lead, very similar to the 100-run lead they enjoyed at the Oval before winning that Test by 253 runs.
