Rajinikanth halts ‘Dharman’ shoot to pay last respects to K. Bhagyaraj; calls late filmmaker a wonderful man
The Tamil film industry is mourning the sudden demise of legendary filmmaker K Bhagyaraj as actors, directors and political leaders gathered to pay their last respects. Rajinikanth Visited Bhagyaraj’s home, garlanded the body and consoled the family. After paying his respects and addressing the media, the actor shed tears as he recalled the filmmaker with whom he had a decades-long friendship.

Rajinikanth expressed his sorrow in heartfelt words while recalling Bhagyaraj’s contribution to cinema and his personal connection with him. “Bhagyaraj was an amazing man. He was an extraordinary talent. I still can’t believe he is no longer here,” he said. The actor is reportedly shooting for “Dharman”, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International. However, soon after hearing the news of Bhagyaraj’s death, the schedule for the day was canceled and Rajinikanth was able to go straight to the late filmmaker’s house. His visit was a reflection of his ongoing respect and affection for Bhagyaraj and a video of the tribute later went viral on social media.
