DU PG Admissions 2026: Delhi University releases CW quota eligibility list, releases final ECC document submission notification
Delhi University (DU) has issued an important notification to candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses under the Child/Widow (CW) supernumerary quota for the academic session 2026-27. The university has released a tentative list of eligible candidates and directed applicants to verify their eligibility status and assign priorities before completing the mandatory document submission process. The notification clarifies that candidates who are asked to provide Education Certificate (ECC) and other supporting documents must upload them through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Postgraduate Admission 2026 portal within the stipulated period.
Tentative list of qualified CW candidates announced
According to the university, the tentative list contains the list of candidates eligible for consideration under the supernumerary quota for CW postgraduate admissions. Applicants are advised to carefully check their eligibility status and the priority assigned to them in the attachment issued by the university.The CW quota provides additional seats to eligible defense personnel wards, subject to verification of prescribed documents and fulfillment of admission requirements.
Mandatory submission of ECC certificate
Delhi University has directed candidates who are specifically required to submit a valid Educational Concession Certificate (ECC) along with supporting documents to upload the required documents through the DU CSAS Postgraduate Admissions 2026 portal.The university has set a submission deadline of 11:59pm on Thursday, June 25, 2026.Officials stressed that this is the last opportunity for candidates to complete the document submission process.
No extension will be granted
DU in its notification made it clear that requests for extension of time limit will not be considered after the specified date.Candidates who fail to submit the required ECC certificate and supporting documents within the stipulated time may not be considered under the CW category during the admission process.The university advises applicants to avoid waiting until the last few hours and ensure that all documents are uploaded correctly on the admissions portal.
Verify required documents
The notification further stated that candidates belonging to priority 1 to priority 5 of the CW category must submit prescribed documents for verification.The university will use these documents to verify the authenticity of applications made under CW supernumerary quota before admission is finalized.What candidates should doQualified CW applicants should:
